Hey' How You Doin?

Welcome to INSANE RADIO- The best radio station on the Information Superhighway. I'm DJ Capt Maverick [or as I'm often referred to as "Capt PITA" (Pain In The Ass)]. I hold many hats here at Insane Radio. I'm an Administrator and DJ, to include Developer of Audio Promotions, Tech Support, and Trainer. I have more pots on the stove than Emeril Lagasse (LOL).

I live on the Louisiana Coast with my wife, three kids, and two dogs.

I'm a Veteran of the United States Army. I presently work as a Marine Navigator on any of the seven seas of the world to include most Gulfs. No, I'm not in the United States Marines (lol common misconception). I work in the private sector navigating for Ships on the water. I also supply Sub-Sea Navigational Services for ROV Submarines, ADS Divers, and Surface Divers.

I've loved music from an early age and have instilled that upon my children as well. I can go from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Metallica, from Peter Ilitch Tchaikovsky to Three Days Grace, and from Ludwig Van Beethoven to Black Label Society... all without missing a single beat. I don't listen to Rap (its a personal preference). I also like Country, Jazz, Blues, and Big Band. Anyone who's tuned into my show knows that my favorite genre is Metal and Hard Rock.

I have a very diverse Playlist. I have over 43,000 songs available (and counting). I like Live and Acoustic Music very much and my Playlist reflects that.

I'm also a writer thus by proxy an avid reader. I write under the pseudonym A. J. Garrett. To date, I've had two books published. My first story "A Christmas to Remember" has made seven appearances on the Bestseller's List reaching its highest point so far at #34 (Amazon.com- December 2009).

On more of a personal note, I'm a big clown and love to joke around. I'm of the opinion that if you can't joke around and enjoy life, you're nothing more than an oxygen thief.
